- FireKing’s 4 Drawer 44 Inch Wide Lateral File Cabinet offers all the features of vertical files in a lustrous design. It includes hardware to hang legal files side to side and letter files front to back. The file cabinet carries Underwriters Laboratories 1-hour fire rating and it is also water resistant. Its finish is scratch-resistant also having environmentally-friendly electrostatic powder coating. The drawer bodies are built with high sides for use with hanging folders and the drawer suspensions are maintenance free. Each drawer is a separate insulated container because of insulation between them. The cabinet features chrome handles and the drawer pulls are surface mounted to allow extra insulation inside the drawer heads, these drawer heads are formed of welded steel and filled with fireproof insulation and are field replaceable. The 2-position drawer catch allows access to certain drawers while others remain locked and its interlocks prevent more than one drawer from opening at the same time to protect users from accidental tipping. The cabinet features UL-listed Medeco high-security drawer key locks. The field replaceable steel panels can be easily replaced in the event that any panel is damaged. There is a variety of seven colors to choose from.
